What really irritates me is the fee Virginia charges for pets in their state parks. The fee is so much for each pet, per day! They claim it is to pay for any damage the pet may do, and because they might leave poop around on the ground or chase a squirrel out to the end of their six foot lead. After seeing what a bunch of people can do to a park and the restrooms, they should let the pets in free, and charge for the kids. Kids or adults, I have never seen a pet cause as much damage as people do. Pets don't poop all over a restroom, and spread it on the walls, floors, and seats like I have seen people do. Pets don't leave dirty, smelly and runny diapers laying around or thrown into the woods either.
