I would think calling a place that trains service animals would best answer.
Someone mentioned the mini horse, people use them for seeing eye pets. It's pretty cool, one reason is to be different I am sure but horses have a longer life than dogs as well. I have seen cats as service animals as warning for diabetes and one was blood pressure. Awesome how animals can help us.
