RV's verses rv & campsites
I am convinced there are 10 times more RV's and Campers than there are campsites in America. Every time I try try to make a reservation there are no vacancies ......

Not real reliable, but according to wikipedia there are 13000 private and 1600 public campgrounds in the US. If you take a guess at the average # of sites in a campground, say 100 (you may have a better wild guess then me), you get 1,460,000 sites.
