I believe this is the firm I have seen articles on in the "trade journals", if so, it is the same firm that has been doing this for years in the auto industry.
Which means they have "paid" enough out not to get sued, but have made enough to not go under.
Like any insurance it's a bet, they are betting you will pay more then you get, you are betting the other end.
