I wonder what they would say if I lived in California? The primary heat source in my house if a wood-burning fireplace. We have electric heat, but we've got this really great fireplace with a blower. I suppose I'm screwing-up the environment also? Think they are concerned that my smoke in Indiana is blowing their direction in California! :)
