We have 'burn bans' in WA state all the time.. Well, mostly King and Pierce counties and guess when it occurs the most?? During winter when it's below freezing for 2 weeks straight and we can't use our wood stove...
But, if you wanted to burn a 'recreational fire' in your back yard, it's okay... Even when there are fire danger burn bans in place, you can still have a camp fire in a firepit..
Isn't it a good thing we had some 'global warming' after the Ice Age?? If not, we'd all still be living on glaciers!!
Oh well, I guess we can all bring up a video of a burning fireplace on our smart phones and iPads and be happy tweeting it and posting it on facebook...
I'm glad I got to live my childhood during a time when I could ride in the back of a pick up truck, not wear seat belts or a helmet to ride my bike! :)
