This brings to mind a related subject I haven't resolved. We have many BBQ places in the next town but you never see smoke from the pipes from the pits.
There is one place in particular that has bright shiny stainlless exhaust that are as pristine as the day they came out of the box.
They don't BBQ. They boil and season and throw it on a grill for a minute or two. One has it shipped in already smoked. Nothing like week old smoked BBQ chicken. I suspect that there must be some ordinance forbidding the smokers but don't know.
