Safe Campsite in New Orleans
I understand there is a fair amount of crime in New Orleans and would like your opinion of which campgrounds are safest. Any comments would be helpful.

I have stayed at the KOA in slidel and also the KOA on the west side of town. the french quarter RV park is surrounded by block walls topped with razor wire. that should tell you something. Probably perfectly safe as long as you stay within those walls.
