Safe Campsite in New Orleans
I understand there is a fair amount of crime in New Orleans and would like your opinion of which campgrounds are safest. Any comments would be helpful.

Bayou Segnette is where we stayed. We have also stayed at the KOA in Kenner but we didn't like it as much. It was "ok" We have also stayed at Ponchartrain Landing and didn't like the traffic and directions getting into and out of that campground. If you go to Bayou Segnette, from I-10 east, take I-310 south. Turn east (left) on US90 about 13 miles. When you leave the park, go west back to
I-310 north back to I-10. A bit more miles but easier with an RV.
