But - Everywhere else it's - Ar-kan-saw.....like that other state.
And the Arkansas River -

BTW - when I lived in Oregon - never heard anyone pronounce it - or e gun.
I was in the service in TX - found out pretty quick, it's *not* "you all", but - y'all.......
until I met a gal born and raised in El Paso.
When I heard *her* say YOU all, I asked about y'all -vs- you all.
She said, "What's wrong with saying you all? - That's the way WE always say it". (Didn't follow up on "we").
