Back on topic of heaters and smoke detectors. Which type of smoke detector should you have??? There are two types - Ionization, which is generally more responsive to flaming fires - and Photoelectric smoke detection is generally more responsive to fires that begin with a long period of smoldering. I think best to have one of each!! And they do make combination Ionization/Photoelectric smoke detectors.
