I was on another forum and they were talking about small heaters and catching fire. one guy had his burn the counter top in the kitchen because he forgot to unplug his and went to work. have read many near fires and such and if you don't take precautions and not place it 18 inches from any thing flammable then at least have fresh batteries in your smoke detected, provided you even have a smoke detector. even in brick and stick houses you read in the paper of fires that have killed children and you see they did not have working smoke detector in the house.hopefully you will be offended enough if I say "hey stupid, buy a smoke detector and live a little longer for your grand kids." would you get one and use it?????
