A lot of false assumptions in your post. First, remove religion from the convo. It is possible to support the 2nd amendment without following religion.

Second, you're assuming someone that is legally armed would patronize an establishment that does not support them being legally armed. Personally, I would not and do not spend my $ at/in places that want to restrict my freedoms. At least as best as I am able to do so.

You sound like you have an irrational fear of people that choose to exercise their 2nd amendment right.

Inalienable rights are discussed in the Declaration of Independence not the Constitution.

The Constitution has been amended...at least 25 times in the life of the document but the right to bear arms remains and thus is the current law of the land. You want guns to maintain your militia fine by me but not a right I need to exercise. Pretty sure I said that on page one of this thread.

Just reading through back posts now. No, this is not true. I can only speak for Maryland, but concealed carry information is not contained within standard drivers license or registration checks done by my state.

There are clues that an officer uses to inquire about guns being used or carried. For example... if I stop a car and they have a Glock sticker... I might ask if they are armed.

Very good points. I would guess that most of the naysayers lack personal experience with firearms, and people tend to fear the unknown.

As citizens, we're born with certain rights that are protected by the constitution and bill of rights. And it's a good thing my freedom isn't dictated by the arbitrary emotions and judgement of others.

I can't help notice that most of the negative comments are from people that live in NY,NJ,CA,IL. All States with strict gun control laws that only the law abiding good folks obey. The bad guys really don't care about the law in the first place.

Simplistic and very general answer; when moving, the RV is a vehicle, when parked, the RV is a house.

I've never ever felt threatened to the point of having to use my firearm...not even close. But that will not stop me from exercising my constitutional right to "keep and BEAR arms" in the event that such a cause ever presents itself. That includes in my RV, in my car, at my church, in my office, at the mall, etc. That unarmed mall security guard that roams aimlessly around the plaza is going to be little help. I don't worry about amateurs with guns as much as I worry about evil people who intend on causing violence.

I'm curious ... why does one need a concealed weapons permit to carry a gun along in their RV? Can't you just carry an unloaded rifle or pistol someplace of sight in your RV with ammunition close by? In fact, does it even have to be unloaded to carry in your RV? It's my understanding that it's somewhat difficult to get a concealed weapons permit in many areas of the U.S..

I have no desire to go around in public view walking, or ridng a bike, or riding a motorcycle secretly armed, anyway. But if I did have the desire, concealing a pistol of course would be the way to go. Out in the boonies on an ATV or motorcycle if one wants to be armed, then just wear a pistol in an exposed holster, or keep a rifle in a scabbard on the ATV or motorcycle.

Years ago I occasionally carried an unloaded rifle in our RV, a loaded rifle in a scabbard on an off-road motorcycle, and a loaded magnum pistol in an exposed waist holster as a backup weapon when boar hunting. I just don't see any reason for a non-law-enforcement private citizen to secretly carry a firearm when around other people in life's daily activities here in the U.S.. In fact, I don't even want to be around private citizens who are carrying, as I never know which of them might be amateurs with guns ... and we already have enough amateurs messing up this world as it is.

All we do is -> not camp in compromised places, but just in case carry along in the RV more than one canister of pepper spray (NOT bear spray). Perhaps we're just plain not paranoid enough to be fearful enough ... or perhaps we're too afraid of what we might do unnessarily and regretfully with a gun.
