That certainly is a mistake not worth repeating. All three times we purchased a RV we put a down payment to hold it, but never paid fully up front. When we bought our 2nd RV, a hybrid TT, it was from a dealer that owned a campground next to the dealership. We made settlement and then they took us to the campground to do the very thorough PDI and checked on us throughout the weekend to make sure all was going well.
The other two purchases, we did the PDI first and they made sure we were happy with everything before we signed anything and wrote another check.
