Get a USB 2.0 compatible drive, call Dish to activate the service (40 dollar one time fee), plug the hard drive into the USB port on your 211 and follow the on screen directions.
In addition, the maximum capacity drive the 211 will support is 2TB. Dish recommends using a self powered drive, not a USB powered one. If the drive is powered by a separate "wall wart", that's what they mean.
