First, I assume the door was locked...
Someone up-thread commented on the sound of a shotgun being racked.. yes.. I often postulated a home security system that consisted of nothing more than a quality sound system... Activated by the breaking of the perimeter sensors, playing a CD with about 30-60 seconds of digital silence (noting more silent) and the sound of a 12 ga Being racked.
That would be one ALARMED burglar.
What about letting the neighbors know to "Buzz the Fuzz" as they used to say... Oh he will do that as he exits stage super fast.. Getting Height and weight? Just measure the hole he leaves in the wall.
Yup, good plan.
There was a case some years back (2-5) where someone managed to get an RVer who was Wally-Docking to open his door, one thing lead to another and the Wife of the Retired cop blew the intruder away with the family shotgun.
They then sued Wal*mart,,, lost, (I mean they opened the door, not Wal*mart) but we were worried that Wal*mart may put up "NO RV PARKING" signs at all their stores instead of only the ones where the goverment requires them to do so.
