I don't boom-dock, never have, probably never will. But... one thing I have well thought about in advance, .... and this works at home too. When inside the camper, I always keep the truck keys near by (at home too). Any weird noises outside and I hit the panic button on the truck remote. And since my truck has the remote start ... well, I'll go ahead and blow the horn and start the truck and blow the horn. I've never had to do this in a real situation (thank-goodness), but at our last house (when we lived in town), I did this quite often with our last car! It might not be a shot gun with the "click-click" (and I do have one), but I would think if the horn started going off, lights started flashing, and the engine started up, it would be enough to chase someone away ... well ... almost everyone! (There are exceptions you know!).
