I was tent camping with a buddy of mine in Green Ridge State Forest in Western MD a couple weeks before Thanksgiving. At about 4:30 - 5 am I heard a lot of rustling not far from our tent and shortly after there was lights flashing around our tent for a couple minutes. I was pretty freaked out and woke my buddy up. We got up and looked around, but there was nothing.
When the sun finally rose, we saw a truck parked just on the other side of our site with no one around it. That was our first night and had gotten there late, so didn't get a chance to collect firewood. During the day of the incident, we spent a few hours collecting fallen trees and cutting and chopping it up at our site. After running the chainsaw for a couple hours, a not so happy looking, empty handed hunter walks back to the truck that was parked on the other side of our site.
He might have left empty handed, but we had great bonfires the rest of the trip!
