The main reason we bought our m/h was to have a place to stay while traveling to various airports, fly-ins and air shows.
At one such stay we had made camp at the edge of a treed area at the far end of the airport thinking any early morning flights weren't very likely to bother us.
Boy was I wrong!
At about O-dark-thirty we shook out of bed by the most horrendous noise. A flight of military helicopters were passing and one has some warning lights going off so they decided to land to investigate. They figured an airport was a safe place to land to check it out. They had approached from over the trees and didn't see us till they were almost on the ground.
I kidded the DW word of how good her coffee was had really spread!
