I've heard horror stories, but my personal couple:
1: The bank's offer that wanted to finance my RV. They had one chance to beat the the CU's 2.99%. They didn't, and what they tried to plop on the table was just plain scary... or it could have been a bad practical joke.
2: The local sheriff coming in and telling everyone to evacuate. Got the heck out of where I was boondocking (was tenting it, about 45 days before I bought my TT) right when one of the biggest fires in central Texas history was just a couple miles away.
