I had a 2004 GC and towed my 21' Keystone Outback with it, and it was a white-knuckle drive every time. There is a chart somewhere that graphs wheelbase to maximum trailer length, and the GC is a little too short even for 21'. I had WD and sway control, and it wasn't enough. I could feel that the front end was too light, and every passing semi or large SUV would make the trailer shimmy. Definitely a case of tail wagging the dog. I now have an Armada with air shocks, and all is well.
Every setup is different of course, and I think the Outback tongue weight is a little high. Air shocks in the Jeep may have helped. The Jeep manual doesn't help much, since it says you "can" tow up to a 30' trailer! No mention of the importance of wheelbase, although it did say to not have more than 64 sq foot of frontal area. Be safe out there!
