Famous sightings... almost

My wife to be and I were at Kings Canyon about 10 years ago and one of the park rangers swore up and down that I was Eric Clapton.

Then when we were back in NJ I was walking in the parking lot at the bank and this guy walks up to me and says "Excuse me, but you sure look like Eric Clapton" I laughed because of what had happened in CA a few weeks before and told the guy about it. Then he still says "So, are you Eric Clapton?"

Then about 6 months later we were at our wedding and my wife's aunt says to her " has anybody ever told you your husband looks like Eric Clapton?"

Sheesh, just my luck I get confused with somebody who is about 15 years OLDER than what I am.

I was once a major player in behind the scene politics and have met and had meals with many many entertainers.

Quite a few years ago, we pulled into a rest area to walk around a bit, make a pot of coffee, and take a breather from driving. As we were about to leave, in pulled three identical painted Prevosts....Neal McCoy and his group. Now, that was a site to behold. He was a friendly sort.

Blowing a little smoke are we? If the plane was low enough and close enough for you to see in the windows, at approach speeds it would be moving too fast for you to recognize anyone. If you were far enough back to not be effected by the speed, you would be too far away to recognise anyone.

I'm sorry water-Bug ...guess I was blowing smoke up somethin... my sincere apologizes... it wasn't a 737, it was a a Boeing VC-25. My mistake..... And as I recall, but I could have been wrong again, but no I didn't see you standing there beside me when he flew in there,

I wonder if clouds ever look down and say ..."hey look, that one is shaped like an Idiot".

Not camping, but fishing. I was volunteering with Project Healing Waters (a program that incorporates fly fishing into wounded soldiers' rehabilitation). We were fishing at a private property with several lakes, and one of the cabin owners was Goose Gossage. Very nice, personable guy. He spent quite a bit of time talking with the soldiers, and gave them all autographed copies of Yankee magazine at the day's end.
