A rare sighting...
I noticed this rare gem a couple of sites away from us in Salt Springs, FL yesterday. As I understand it, Newmar only made 42 of them before dropping the project.
The 2001 NewAire is all electric and was offered with a choice of Cummins 260 or 275 HP engines. The 29' NewAire is unique in that it "kneels" to lower the entry step instead of having a conventional extending step. It also has both driver and passenger front doors, as well as a mid-entry door. It doesn't fit my tastes, especially since it has a wet bath, but it certainly is a cool looking rig!
