In Georgia, you can only ride the smaller ones (non-licensed under 50CC) on roads that have a speed limit of 35mph or lower. For me that makes one a no go. Most of the state parks I have been to recently are directly off a highway with a speed limit of 55 and the street I live on is directly off another 55mph highway. So going anywhere, like to a store almost always requires going on a highway that the moped or scooter would not be allowed on. (Oh yeah, I wouldn't be crazy enough to try it even if it weren't illegal. Too slow for too many maniacs on the road.)
