SD fuel tax, registration, sales excise tax rising April 1

Our governor has signed 2015 SB1 legislation authorizing state fuel tax increase to .24c from .18c/ gallon, vehicle registration fees rise on average 20%, excise tax on vehicles rise from 3% to 4%....

where I live in NY we not only pay about .60 a gallon tax but we are hit with NYC transit surcharge of about 55% of registration cost. A friend does excavating and the 1 year reg of his 30 ton trailer was going to be 950.00....registered in Maine instead 95 bucks for 5 years.
