Sealed Underbelly

I have a brand new Keystone Premier 19fbpr. When I went to winterize I found the black tank flush is blocked. No air or water gets through. I removed the backflo valve which is easy to get to in the closet in the bathroom. The line still seems blocked when I blow into it. Called dealer and they say it could be a kinked line. I suspect they will have to remove part of the sealed underbelly to get to the problem.

The underbelly is factory sealed with expansion foam around pipes and such protruding from the underbelly. I am wondering if it's really worth it to let the dealer get in there and whether or not they will be able to put it back as good at it came?

Anybody had any experience with having their underbelly removed?

  • I decided to pull the underbelly under the bathroom and black tank. And there it was staring me in the face. They kinked the line during assembly. There is noway the pex tubing would have made that 90 degree turn. I cut out the kink and added a Quick Connect Fitting. It all works find now. Thanks for the input.

  • I would want them to fix it also. Let me know what they found. Mine is blocked and I'm not sure how to fix it.
  • I would expect, as part of the repair, that the service dept. would reinstall everything just like it came from the factory.
  • #1. If it's brand new, I certainly would expect them to fix it up as such.

#2. Anything black tank related would never see my lips get close enough to it to blow into.

    Brand new trailer...have it fixed.

    My thoughts exactly.
  • I cut holes in mine where i need access.

But, if your stealer is close by drop it there and pick it up when done.
  • I've had the belly cover off several times. It is a bit of an annoying and tedious job but not difficult. The spray foam is easily replaced.
  • I use mine a lot. If they have to remove the underbelly so what. It was sealed up once, they can do that again.

    B.O.
  • I rarely use my BTF. I normally just dump a couple buckets of water down the toilet at the dump station, and leave a couple gallons of water in the black tank all the time.

If my flusher quit working, I would not tear anything apart to try to repair it.
