Seasonal trailer since 2010

Hi,
I have a 2009 TT that has been standing in the same seasonal spot the past 4 years. i plan on buying a truck this summer and will pull the trailer. i am concerned of anything that the twin axle brakes on the TT will either bind or not work correctly.
Any tips? The tires still look okay and have had a cover over them for the 4 years
Thanks

  • Other than some surface rust on the drums, I think the brakes will be fine after an adjustment.
I would be more concerned about servicing and inspecting the bearings.
    Look for tire rot too.

This would be a good thing, and while the hub is off, you can check to see that the brakes are free. You will likely have to clean up the hubs where the shoes make contact.

If tires have not been run in 4 years, I wouldn't trust them too far, even if they were covered and look good.
