I guess I am old school. Learned to drive in a 1946 British stick shift that had all cable brakes, cable clutch & a 1/4 turn play in the wheel where nothing happened. Didn't get my first automatic vehicle till 10 years ago. The tow vehicle in my sig.
I still take driving quite seriously. Don't eat or use the phone while driving. The cruise control only gets used on relatively flat interstates or similar.
However, autonomous driving is appealing especially in light traffic, long distance, situations where the risk of falling asleep due to boredom is high. My biggest fear is the idiot on the phone, not on autonomous driving, running into me when I am not giving my driving full attention.
