Self feeding CG fire log holder??
What do you think? Pro or Con? I think it would start all the logs on fire.

Not for me.
Part of the fun of having a camp fire is "feeding" it from time to time. Gets one out of the easy chair, keeps the muscles working, and allows time to fix another cup of coffee.
