I retired at 55 and my wife a few years later. Most of my friends retired at a similar age. The only problem is an appearance issue--how to get the smile off your face when needed. If you have the money, go for it. I did work part time at a local country club for a few years for some money, free golf and to keep a little busy. Last year, I was on the road in MH for 15 weeks and expect a similar trip this year. Also spent 5 weeks in the Cayman Islands. Next week, 2 months in the Dominican Republic.
