I would love to travel with firearms while in the US but unfortunately the restrictive laws enforced at the US border prohibit Canadians, and all other foreign nationals, from bringing a weapons into your country, except under very limited circumstances. {Hunting, shooting competitions or a LEO on business)
I can't carry while there, even if I purchase the gun in the US.
I respect your laws and abide by them while I am a guest of yours.
I just have to rely on the hope that my camping neighbor is prepared to render assistance in the form of deadly force if I need some help.
By the way, the laws controlling the importation of firearms when crossing the border between Canada and the US are nearly identical regardless if your headed south or north.
