Nobody, I mean nobody is advocating "taking your gun away" or eliminate your right to have one. Where in the world did you get this idea? Your reply is an obvious political one, so let's stick to the OP's question and keep the politics to other forums.
I too have never felt the need to take one of my guns along with us when traveling and I've been doing this for many, many years. However, I got to admit that I stay in rv parks/resorts and never boon dock or campgrounds. If I did, I would probably take my 357 along with us.....but that's not gonna happen.
