Why do people get so agitated whenever they see an RV in a parking lot? Am I missing something? Is it really that bothersome? And it always seems to be a WalMart parking lot. And this is not an isolated event. These type of posts pop up here on a regular basis. If WalMart doesn't care why should anyone else?
I see this anti-RV sentiment mainly coming from California and has spread nationwide. There, when 2008 hit and a lot of people lost their homes, people took to parking on streets in old, beaten up motorhomes. The remaining homeowners got tired of that, raised fists at townhall meetings and got RV bans.
Another part of the sentiment is that we have a section of the population which never cares to leave cities. They are content with the background of an old XP machine for seeing green grass. They dislike RV-ing because they have no clue what life is like past the concrete canyons.
Where did you get your information regarding Calif In 2008? I lived there at that time, in the hardest hit city in the nation (Stockton) and saw none of what you describe. Maybe another Texas shot at anything that isn't Texas? ;)
