Setting tire pressure before hitting the road
Getting ready to hit the road and want to set tire pressure on truck and trailer. Max load pressure on 5th wheel is 110 lb. I set tire pressure cold but should it be set first thing in morning or late...

Tire pressure specs are COLD specs, which means they should always be set BEFORE you do any driving. I don't think the time of day is all that significant. If you are pulling out of the campground at noon, then go ahead and check them at noon, just before you start. See:

As for inflating the tires to MAXIMUM pressure, well, the OP mentioned his fifth wheel trailer, and that's fine for trailers. I would NOT inflate the tires on my tow vehicle or motor home to maximum. The tire tread on an OVERINFLATED tire does not make maximum contact with the road, which means your traction, braking, and steering will be less optimal than it would be if the inflation were adjusted so the tire makes maximum contact.
