I set my pressures on my toyhauler so it rides well. After much experimenting, the pressure I use isn't the max sidewall pressure. Max sidewall pressure is 110 psi, but I get a much less bumpy ride if I run them at 90-95 psi. Over 5 years, 20,000 miles and they still look great with a ton of tread left. Sometimes those charts actually work out, and people are simply mistaken in their beliefs.
But apparently some people feel that running anything other than max sidewall pressure is silly and complicates things. Go figure.
