We were in Rocky Mountain National Park, in our travel trailer, in July or August of 1976. Flooding occurred in the Big Thompson Canyon. We drove down into Estes Park the day after the flood. If I recall correctly 40 or 50 people were killed. The bodies were being stored in refrigerated trailer trucks. What a terrible sight!
