Sewer Hookup @ Home?

My house is on pilings. There is a code required clean out where the pipe goes into the ground. I just unscrew the clean out and screw in my drain adapter. I don't do permanent. Neighbors or Town would have something to say.

I've yet to hear of any place that will 'allow' you to hook up a MH to the existing sewer lines. SOOOOO be wary of what you say to a plumber if you go the route of one putting in a 'clean out' for you. Do not tell them of your intentions for the clean out. Many a license plumbers will NOT do what is against code.

And sadly your worst enemy doing this is going to be your neighbors. If you have the choice place your MH out of the line of sight of any of the neighbors. Because once they see a sewer line coming out of it trust me one of them will call you in.

Adding a clean out especially with plastic pipe is very easy.

Here in Canada a so-called "sewer clean-out" located somewhere on one's property is unusual, particularly in newer subdivisions, and I certainly don't have one. Even if I did I wouldn't choose to passively dump the contents of the trailer's black water tank, instead invested in a FloJet Waste Macerator Pump and installed a T to the main sewer stack in the house. I've been using this system for 10 yrs now and it's faultless, also use the macerator when camping ... a series of 7 pics starts here for anyone interested.

First of all, it depends on the size of his tank as to whether it would be 50 gallons. With that said, that makes no sense. Home bath tubs range in sizes of 40-120 gallons. Long showers could generate that amount or more. A properly working septic system should be able to handle it.

And I've asked a septic company about using our cleanout to dump and he said it would be fine for a single RV use, just not an multiple rv use daily.

Are you hooked to a city sewer or a home septic system? This may make a difference on how you set up and use the system.

easy to do really just need the right slope for drainage. the clean out can be added and then cut it down so you can use it
