Really? The only time mine is open to the tank is when I'm dumping, then nothing gets back in. It is not good to leave it open all the time unless you want the dreaded poo pyramid.
Yep.
I did not say I left my valve open. Never have never will just made a simple statement. The P trap does control the odor coming out when draining the tank and flushing it.
