My experience towing a 28 BHS Avenger with a dry of 6333 with my CrewMax was very similar. I had 110k and the fix ended up being a worn and done rear shock.
Mine would float and then it will get a bit better but then it will float. Random times , I increased the adjustment on the WDH to use.
