Always lecturing on not doing things....well.I left the valve, in the fill position, on the fresh water. Went to attend to something else and all of a sudden realized I needed to check it.Cascades ,of water from the gravity fill. It took a looong time for it to quit. Must have expanded the tank something terrible. Everything seems alright now.Wife washed some clothes last evening. We went out to eat. Came back and water was running out, of the shower pan.Soaked the rugs and everywhere.Somebody forgot to leave the gray tank valve open. She says I did it.I swear I saw a raccoon or something messing around.Had a little water in two bays.Sooo she is following me around and double checking everything. Anyone got a spare dog house? She did it.

If you keep telling yourself she did it, eventually you will believe it. :C

Double checking is good. My wife is a double checker, for some reason.

Some people won't even leave their S&M house with the dishwasher or washing machine running. This is why. Sometimes it's not anything you did or didn't do, it's just that it picked that time to let go.

All my Hose bibs have manual timers..I always set them fore this reason...Been there done that....watered my lawn for a full weekend once

I must be lucky. She bought ME a mug that says I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong. Doesn't get much better.

We've also always made sure no water (dishwasher or laundry) is running when we leave the house. Like George, "just trying to avoid disasters."

While this leaks or water line breaks can happen at anytime or any day, when we leave for a weekend, the water pump is switched off,as is the water softener and water heater.

Wait til she connects the fresh City water hose up to the Black tank flush which is right next to the city water connection. And goes inside and says,''Hey...whats that gurgling sound coming from the toilet?"

Just a warning...when that happens...DO NOT go in and press the toilet flusher lever. If you do, all that pressure gets relieved thru the toilet drain really quickly. And she'll get to clean all the black tank gook of the walls, ceiling, floors, doors, mirrors, shower and all the nooks and crannies. It will take her hours. But hey...it's her own fault...right?

Double checking is good. Maybe the coon was trying to be funny!
We came home after a 4 day camping trip to water running out of the S&B kitchen cabinets down over the countertop and into the lower kitchen cabinets and then onto the floor to the depth of 1". The water line to the refrigerator ice maker split and dumped water into the top cabinet for I don't know how many days. Double checking here would not have helped much. Positive side of this is that we did our spring cleaning six months early.
