Should I take the RV or not?

We are heading south 500 miles from the Northeast area for 6 days to help family. 500 miles one way. Will stay at family house in spare room. I love driving the 32 foot Class C RV but is it worth it overall. We will not really use it but maybe a one quick night going down or even back up. Its nice to have your own bathroom and pack food and things with you. I just feel I am rushing the trip and putting extra miles on it and burning more gas. Any suggestions, advice, thoughts.
  • Write down in pencil and paper several reasons why you should take the RV and several reasons why you shouldn’t take the RV and that may make the answer come clear.

that's a 2-day trip for us and even if it wasn't we'd make it a 2 or 3-day trip. we went to a concert last night in a town 50-miles away and stayed overnight in a motel. no place to park the MH but it reminded us just how much we dislike motels.
  • I would just take the car since you have a place to stay. If you had to stay in a motel the rv would off set the cost of fuel. Personal opinion only.
  • Hookups at house, family is great. Really, no reason to be in RV while there. Just more for transportation.
  • WE would take the RV, depending on whether there is a good place to park and stay. Just easier with family to be able to get away and hide to yourself sometimes.
  • 6 days in a spare room at the house or six days in your comfortable RV away from family. ;)

To me it's a no brainer. I would take the RV, unless there is a problem with parking it at or near the house.
