We replaced the dead Dometic firdge in our rig in May this year. Swallowed hard and paid the nearly $1800, but didn't want the hassle of having to run the generator to keep a residential fridge running while driving.
Much to my surprise, the RV repair shop I used for the replacement sent me a Dometic flier last week announcing a promotion for anyone who had bought a fridge - a free ice maker (worth $300) or a 6-bottler wine cooler, worth $250.
We sent the paperwork in, requesting the wine cooler about a week ago. It was delivered yesterday. Now I have to figure out an installation. We took the bedroom TV out last year (don't even watch the front TV very much). I'll be designing an installation in that space.
Dometic have been prompt in answering questions. Kudos to them. Even more so, kudos to the repair shop I used, JR RV Repair and Maintenance in Sedro-Woolley, WA, who alerted me to the promotion 3 months after I had the job done and just a week before it expired.
Thanks to everyone involved.
