Shut off water at home???
When you leave home for a few days, do you turn off the main water valve at your house?

Yes
I shut the main off and I flip the breaker for the water heater off.
We had a water heater leak while we were away and it not only burned out an element in the water heater, but ruined a solid oak floor
Lesson learned !
