We make sure the pump is off and the water at the faucet turned off when we leave the RV for a while. One time, we came back to the RV park and saw a terrible sight on a RV in the row across from us. There was water pouring out of the bottom bays of a class A. There was no one there and we turned the water off at the faucet to stop the flood. When the owner came back, we told him what we saw and what we did. He found a leak in a pipe in the underbelly area. What a mess!
And we also turn off the water to the house when we are on a trip.
