I had renewed for $30 for 6 months and refused to do autopay. I put it on my Google calendar to call a day before expiration. Told them the truth that I had seen it online in a forum for $25.00 for 6 months and being retired that's all I was willing to pay. He went away for about 2 minutes and confirmed the deal. I told him I would call again in 6 months! Lol
Exactly the same here. A week before the subscription expires, my calendar reminder pops up and I call. Tell the rep I want to cancel. We play this game always starting out around $120/year, then down to $90/ year, then down to $50/6 months (which is actually a worse deal!), then down to $25/5 months. That's the rate I've paid on my two vehicles for the last 3 years at least. Then I reset the Google Calendar for the expiration date and all set for 4 months and 3 weeks.
Only once, about 2 1/2 years ago did they refuse to do the $25/5 month deal. I cancelled. Within 1 day, they called and I got 6 months for $20.
If you stick to your guns, you will get a good price.
