Slide out permanently out

I have a 38 footer on a permanent site, and will never move it. The slide is out and will stay out since I have built cabinets into the ends where it would come in.
Even though it is new, I am thinking down the road that I will have to build some sort of a roof over the slide.
Has any one done this ? I am looking for ideas and how you did yours?

    Only two thoughts I have. If you build a roof over the slide only, make sure you design in runoff from the main unit so it doesn't land on the slide.Also do you have concrete block piers near the tires so the trailer doesn't sag in the middle as the tires lose air over time?
