Exactly. I might be tent camping or whatever. Maybe even hiking. The klantern boasts that you can charge your cell phone from it. It is charged with a small solar panel. I've seen some that you hang on the outside of a backpack and charges while hiking. Also, you may want to charge something small like that without taking away from your rv battery bank.
