Snarkiness

Rule breakers tend to defend rule breakers.
Rule followers tend to confront them.
People who believe their wealth makes them superior, attack budget conscious travelers, as in, "if you're worried about gas prices, you shouldn't be RVing".
It's human nature to defend your position whether it's right or wrong.

So I get this PM from someone concerning my comments in this thread who thinks I'm snarky that launches immediately into a personal attack! Really? You have got to be joking? For Pete's sake grow up or block me please as I do not have the time nor inclination for such childish behavior. Surely you realize how small and petty that made you look?

I compose most of my postings in Word and review them before I post just so I don’t put in a snarky comment or two. However, occasionally someone will touch a nerve and I’ll unleash my inner snark. On one occasion I reviewed the snarky comment I’d posted and realized that I was at fault and I not only posted an apology but sent a PM apology as well. That said, I’ve noticed that there are some folks who get a perverse enjoyment out of being nasty trolls. I found it best to consider the source and just ignore them. There’s an old saying about mud wrestling with a pig. Win or lose you both get filthy but the pig enjoys it.

Sometimes people are just plain stupid and post something that is just plain stupid. Sometimes you can ignore it, sometimes you just can't help yourself.

IMO Fla-Gypsy is correct. And that of course is the correct and only opinion.

This thread should now be closed, because if you don't agree, I'll have to put my Snarky hat on and defend my opinion until the bitter end - or until the moderator closes the thread which ever comes first...
