I think your states economy has evolved to where it would collapse if you lost snowbird/tourism dollars.
Those dollars ARE vital in todays situation.
Well, we will have to disagree, and that is O.K.
Maybe in areas around the mouse, that may be true, as those areas are busy year round, but that is not the whole state.
I lived those times. I saw what happens when there was little or no tourism year after year.
Also, what do you think that Florida does the other 6 months when there are no tourists? I tell you: The strong, well run businesses survive. The weak ones fail.
I still maintain that tourist dollars are welcome, not vital, and most longtime residents will agree.
