Well said. I always welcomed snowbirds to my hometown, and wanted them to enjoy the area.
IF they started telling me how I was so dependent on them, or how much better it was "up north", my friendliness went out the window. I would suggest gently that the interstates also went north, and maybe they should take one.
Don't stand in my hometown and knock it. I certainly will not do it in yours.
